It's a big problem.

Here's a $45,485 Sierra SLE (The middle trim level)

In the last hour I've also configured a CTS V-Sport, Chevy Spark, BMW 320i, Audi S4, and a Ferrari 458 Spyder.

Is there a clinic for this kind of addiction?

I just admitted to MtrRider that sales tax is the only thing keeping me sane.

If it wasn't for the money I lose due to sales tax when buying and selling a car I'd be buying a 10 or more year old car every six months. I'd buy it, drive it a bit, then sell it before I need to do maintenance or pay registration.

one of the only reasons alberta rocks! if you buy a car private sale there is no tax at all, but if you buy any car no matter how old or cheap at a dealer you will pay taxes on it. so here you can scour craigslist all day long and buy/sell/trade all tax free. Just stay away from the stealerships

I would totally buy every single car from a private party. I wouldn't care how long it took to find the car I wanted. Skipping sales tax is so awesome. If you buy a car and have to sell it soon after due to financial reasons or a change in lifestyle (e.g. you buy a 2 seater and then find out you're having a kid) then you don't lose much money if you didn't pay tax.
